The Town of Conception Bay South has announced another round of shining stars at the 2024 Municipal Awards Gala on Thursday, May 23, 2024. This prestigious event, held at the Conception Bay South Arena, celebrated the outstanding achievements of volunteers, athletes, artists, and community leaders and their important contributions to making Conception Bay South a remarkable place to live.
“This year, 2024, marks the Year of the Arts in our province, and in Conception Bay South we have a rich and vibrant arts community. We are proud to introduce three new arts and culture awards, highlighting our commitment to the arts. Equally, our sports community plays a vital role in fostering teamwork, dedication, and the unifying spirit of community pride. Their achievements are outstanding in various sports, from the local to the national scene. Our volunteer award nominees exemplify the spirit of giving back. They are true ambassadors of Conception Bay South, working selflessly to make our town a better place. Congratulations to all our award winners and nominees, and thank you for your invaluable contributions,” said Mayor Darrin Bent.
