The Town of Conception Bay South would like to advise residents that the water main flushing program has begun and will continue throughout the summer months. During the flushing process, residents may experience minor water discoloration and pressure changes, however water service should not be disrupted.

Flushing is generally conducted between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Water may be cloudy for up to four hours. To clear your water, turn on a cold water tap and let the water run for a few minutes. It is recommend to use the cold water faucet on a laundry tub or outside tap . If water does not clear in 15 minutes, wait 30 minutes and try again. If water discoloration persists after 3 to 4 hours, please contact the Engineering and Public Works Department at 834-6500, ext. 351.

The water main flushing program is used to clean water mains. It assures the quality of water and increases the reliability of the water distribution system.
