It’s a time of year when donations to local food banks are ever so important. That’s why the Town of Conception Bay South and Newfoundland Growers are taking action to help those in need.
Ticket holders to the Newfoundland Growers game at the Conception Bay South Arena on Saturday, November 13 are being asked to bring along non-perishable food items, which will be collected at the door for the CBS / Paradise Food Bank.
“It’s been a particularly challenging time for food banks amidst the ongoing pandemic. With the holidays around the corner and registration now open for Christmas Hampers, there’s never been a more important time to encourage people to donate. We are always looking for opportunities to support our local food bank and partnering with the Newfoundland Growlers to do this just made sense. They are bringing hundreds of fans through our doors at each game,” said Mayor Darrin Bent.
The Newfoundland Growlers take on Worcester Railers at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow evening. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The General Public will be able to access tickets at 1:30 p.m. online the day of the game via https://www.eventbrite.ca/o/town-of-conception-bay-south-16610218285.
