Capital spending is on the horizon for Conception Bay South as a strategy to foster growth for the community and as an investment in Town infrastructure.
This past year saw spending that promoted the strengthening of everything from roadways to capital projects, including $750,000 for road rehabilitation and sidewalks, $1 million to upgrade Anchorage Road, $1 million in the development of the new library building, and $1 million in the development of the new community park.
Moving into 2022, the Town has budgeted for big capital spending to continue this trend.
“A key part of positioning Conception Bay South for development and growth is ensuring our infrastructure is ready to meet the demand,” said Mayor Darrin Bent. “The 2022 budget puts a robust focus on preparing our community for expanding in the future, to the tune of approximately $20 million in total.”
