The Conception Bay South Fire Department is thrilled to host the 2025 Regional FireFit Championships on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, at the Robert French Memorial Stadium. Known as the “Toughest 2 Minutes in Sports,” this exciting weekend event will push firefighters to their limits as they compete in individual and relay categories. The FireFit Championships is a competition based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations.
In addition to cheering on local, national, and international competitors, you can also get involved by participating in the FireFit Fun Run Charity Event on Friday, July 25. More information can be found below.
There will be plenty of family fun, including a Kids’ Zone featuring a mini obstacle course, a bouncy castle, and more activities.
Best of all, this event is free for spectators! We encourage everyone to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the CBS/Paradise Community Food Bank.
Registration: Competitors must register directly with FireFit at www.firefit.com.
Early Bird Incentive: Register early to qualify for a special prize! Stay tuned for the official registration opening date, which will be announced on the event’s Facebook page.

We need your help to make this event a success! Volunteer positions include course re-setters, timekeepers, scorekeepers, and more.
Physical Requirements: Some roles are physically demanding.
Commitment: Full-day or weekend volunteers are preferred.
Students: Volunteer hours can count toward school requirements.
FireFit Fun Run – Charity Event
Date: Friday, July 25, 2025
This is your chance to experience the FireFit course in a fun, non-competitive relay race! The only difference — no firefighting gear required.
Who Can Enter: Businesses, community groups, families, and friends.
Teams: 4-6 people.
Donation: Minimum $350 per team. Proceeds support the CBS/Paradise Community Food Bank and the Sammy Climb Higher Foundation.
As a participating team for the Charity Fun Run, here’s what to expect:
Teams will compete on the FireFit course in a relay race. Each team member will receive a FireFit Fun Run t-shirt. The fastest three teams will earn plaques for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place — and, of course, ultimate bragging rights! Make it a Friday morning to remember, have fun, and support two important charities!
The course includes:
Climbing three flights of stairs
The donut roll challenge
Descending three flights of stairs
A pylon run
Dragging a charged fire hose to hit a target with water
A dummy drag to the finish line
