We’re hosting a week of activities to celebrate and support our seniors age 65+.

Seniors Week 2024: September 30 – October 4, 2024

Monday, September 30

• 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Lunch & Learn – “Secure the Blessing” at Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre.
  • An engaging workshop highlighting the emotional and financial benefits of pre-planning and pre-funding final wishes.
  • Cost: $5. 
  • Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the CBS Town Hall. Must be a CBS resident.

Tuesday, October 1

• 1:50 p.m. – Free Seniors Swim at the Recreation Complex
• 3:00 p.m. – Free Fitness Class: Wisdom Warriors at the Recreation Complex, instructed by Sisters in Fitness. No pre-registration required. 

Wednesday, October 2

• 10:30 a.m. – Walking for Wellness, meet at Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre for a free walk guided by a group leader.
• 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Free Seniors Expo, Upstairs room at All Saints Parish Hall

Thursday, October 3

• 10:00 a.m. – Free Seniors Skate at Conception Bay South Arena
• 2:00 p.m. to 2:55 p.m. – Free Swim at the Recreation Complex
• 3:00 p.m. – Free Fitness Class: Active Aging Pilates at the Recreation Complex, instructed by Sisters in Fitness. No pre-registration required. 

Friday, October 4

• 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Lunch & Learn – Nav-Care Program at Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre.
  • Nav-CARE is a free volunteer navigation program that supports people with declining health to live independently at home for as long as possible.
  • Cost: $5. 
  • Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the CBS Town Hall. Must be a CBS resident.
• 1:50 p.m. – Free Seniors Swim at the Recreation Complex
