Winterfest is all about community spirit and inclusion. There are fun indoor and outdoor activities planned for all ages.  Many of the events are weather permitting, so please check the Town’s website and social media for any event cancellations.

Schedule of Events

10th Annual Paul Nippard Memorial Coed Volleyball Tournament

Pre-Teen Dance

All pre-teens welcome! There will be a light show and DJ. Canteen available and chaperones on site. Sponsored by Admiral’s Academy School. For safety reasons, we ask that when children arrive that a parent/guardians sign them in, as well as sign them out upon pick up. This is mandatory in order for children to attend.

Alumni Hockey Challenge

Past graduates of the Queen Elizabeth Pioneers and Holy Spirit Falcons hockey teams will play against each other. There will be cumulative scores kept during both games with the winning team receiving the highest overall score. Inclusivity Squash Program

Cost: Free

Have you ever tried squash? This is your chance. This program is suited for anyone with autism or has a physical (including wheelchair) or intellectual disability. Ages 5 and up are welcomed. Special Olympics Snowshoe Party

Public Notice – Given tonight’s anticipated cold temperatures, the #WinterfestCBS Special Olympics Snowshoe Party is postponed to Thursday, March 12.

Members of Special Olympics are invited to join us for some great winter fun! We’ll be roasting tasty treats over a warm firepit, sipping hot chocolate, and enjoying a little   snowshoeing. We supply the snowshoes! This is open to all Special Olympians from any sports.

Winterfest Young Scientists: Whale Tales

Giants are real – and they live in our oceans! Check out our giant map as we figure out what whales share our water, and which ones are at risk of disappearing forever. This program is designed for children in Grades K to 2 and an accompanying adult.

This is a new event, designed to showcase all that our local youth have to offer. This is not a competitive event, but simply a chance for you to take to the stage and perform your talent for all to enjoy.

Winterfest in CBS Dinner Show – “A Night of a Thousand Stars”

Award winning Spirit of NL Productions present “Night of a Thousand Stars’ hosted by the CBS Ice Queens!

These two senior members of CBS have never missed a social event and love to reminisce about these moments in their competitive and hilarious style. Like any typical Newfoundland conversation the truth is often stretched into the ridiculous. They remember past performers including Elton John, the Beatles, Justin Bieber, Neil diamond, Abba, and many other surprises including some local stars!

Tickets go on sale Thursday, January 30 at noon. Tickets are $55 / each + HST + surcharge. Tickets must be selected for a table as there will be no specific seating assignments. Guests may sit at any seat during the show at their selected table. Maximum of 12 tickets per person. In the event a guest selects more than 12 tickets during their transaction, they will need to restart their table selection process.

Meal is a hot turkey dinner, appetizer, dessert, tea and coffee. No refunds.

Join the Spirit of NL band and this fabulous cast featuring Peter Halley, Keith Power, Kara Noftall, Darrin Martin, Evan Smith and Erin Winsor.

Snowtrek Outdoor Adventure Day
