A guide to meet the needs of a growing community
The Town of Conception Bay South has adopted a new Recreation and Cultural Master Plan to help guide the strategic planning and development of facilities, parks, arts and culture, and new programs over the next several years.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in our extensive engagement process and provided valuable feedback. Incorporating what we heard from residents, our plan puts an added focus on cultural amenities and accessibility, in combination with indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and program needs,” said Deputy Mayor Andrea Gosse.
The Plan is a long-term strategy that identifies the greatest needs and opportunities for the municipality, outing 31 overall recommendations that Council will review and consider, along with an implementation plan. Recreation services in Conception Bay South will continue to support and foster quality of life, diversity, sustainability, and inclusivity.
With a population of over 27,000, Conception Bay South is the second largest municipality in Newfoundland and Labrador. As one of the fastest-growing communities in the province, the town offers a unique blend of urban and rural living, and is a community of choice for families wanting to establish long-term roots. The Town is open for business, not only offering endless investment opportunities, but endless ocean views as well.
