The Conception Bay South Community Park Outdoor Skating Rink opens to the public today, Thursday, January 11, at 3:00 p.m. This marks the commencement of an exciting winter season for residents and visitors alike.
The outdoor rink, located at 20 Bishops Road, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a brief closure period from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., dedicated to routine, daily ice maintenance. The Community Park features Newfoundland and Labrador’s first combination refrigerated outdoor rink plus splash pad. At over 11,000 square feet, it is one of the province’s largest inclusive play areas. The park has a washroom and change room facilities, walking trails, a performance stage, and lighting.
Parking is available at 20 Bishops Road, and the overflow parking lot is located at 196-202 Conception Bay Highway.
