Town of Conception Bay South
Municipal Plan Amendment No. 16, 2017
and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24, 2017 

The Town Council of Conception Bay South has adopted the Conception Bay South Municipal Plan Amendment No. 16 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 24, 2017.

In general terms, Municipal Plan amendment re-designates 1.6 hectares of land at 353-371 Conception Bay Highway, Long Pond, from the “Commercial” designation to the “Residential Medium Density” designation, and rezoning the land to the “Residential Multiple Unit (RMU)” use zone. The purpose of the amendments is to accommodate development of a proposed assisted living facility on the property.

A Public Hearing to consider objections and representations on the Municipal Plan and Development Regulations Amendments will be held in the Gerald Greenslade Gallery, 11 Remembrance Square at 7:00 pm on the 13 day of July, 2017.

Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation at the Public Hearing should submit a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation to the Town Clerk no later than 2 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017. If no written objection or representation with respect to the Municipal Plan or Development Regulations Amendments are received within the time indicated, the Public Hearing may be cancelled.
