On January 1, 2025, the Town of Conception Bay South assumed ownership of the Manuels River Community Centre. To ensure that the Centre continues to serve as a vibrant and valuable asset to our community, we are launching a public consultation process to gather your input on its future direction.

Currently closed for essential maintenance and preparatory work, the Centre has long been a hub for educational programs, a popular rental space for events, and home to a museum showcasing local fossils and exhibits about the Manuels River. As we reimagine the Centre’s future, your feedback is crucial in shaping its next chapter.

Get Involved:

There are several key ways to share your thoughts and ideas:

1. Attend our Public Consultation Session: Join us for an in-person session where you can learn more, ask questions, and share your vision for the Centre’s future. A public consultation is planned for Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. 

2. Share Your Input Online: An online survey will be available on the this webpage in the coming days, allowing you to provide feedback at your convenience.

3. Submit an Expression of Interest to Join our Focus Group: Are you part of a community organization in Conception Bay South and interested in shaping the future of the Manuels River Community Centre? We’re hosting a focus group, facilitated by an external consultant, on the evening of Monday, March 31, 2025, and are seeking participants. To ensure a productive discussion, participation is limited to one representative per organization. If you’re interested, please submit a request form to express your interest. Space is limited, and attendance will be confirmed via email.
