Council is considering a request from the property owner to re-zone land at 1440 Conception Bay Highway.
The request would require amendments to both the Conception Bay South Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, and is intended to recognize the long-standing primary use of the property (a bus depot and maintenance garage) and accommodate expansion of that use. In general terms, the amendments would re-designate and re-zone land located at 1440 Conception Bay Highway from the “Residential Low Density” and “Residential Mixed Use” designation and zone to the “Commercial Light Industrial” designation and zone. Council will hold a public information session regarding the proposed re-zoning at the Conception Bay South Town Hall, Greenslade Gallery, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
