Town Council adopted Conception Bay South Municipal Plan Amendment No. 25, 2022 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 43, 2022 on September 20, 2022. In general terms, these amendments would re-designate and rezone approximately 0.49 ha (1.21 acres) of land located at 1621-1627 Conception Bay Highway from the “Residential Low Density (R-1)” to the “Residential Mixed (R-3)” land use designations and zones.
The proposed amendments are intended to accommodate the development of two, eight-unit apartment buildings at the property. Under land use Zone R-3, the proposed development would be a permitted use. A public hearing is scheduled to consider objections and representations to these amendments.
A paper based public hearing will be held, with a supplementary public hearing held via the Zoom online meeting platform, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation should submit a signed written statement outlining the objection or representation to the Town by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022.
