Conception Bay South will be at the centre of the curling world from December 10-15, 2019, as the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling, Boost National, slides into town for the second year in a row.
Fans can purchase tickets beginning 12:00 p.m. (NST) on Friday, May 10, 2019 at all Mile One Centre ticket outlets, which includes visiting the Mile One Centre box office, calling (709) 576-7657 or visiting www.mileonecentre.com. Full event packages will be $295 plus any online fees. On sale dates for individual tickets will be announced in fall 2019.

Meet the 2019 Host Committee
Dr. Adrian Power: Chairperson
Dr. Adrian Power is a local dentist who has volunteered in the community for many years. He has coached numerous sports teams, was a member of the Monument of Honour Committee, and was the Medical Director during the 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games. Most recently, he was named the 2017-2018 Conception Bay South and CBS Lions Club Citizen of the Year. In 2007, with the support of the Department of Recreation, he introduced curling to Conception Bay South, and provides instruction to 250 adults and 500 school children annually.
Andrea Gosse: Volunteer Coordinator and Administrative Assistant
Andrea Gosse has lived in Conception Bay South most of her life and volunteers her time with many diverse organizations. She was the Director of Volunteers for the Host Committee for the 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, and sat on the Steering Committee for the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre. She continues to volunteer as an active member of Manuels River Natural Heritage Society Board and has chaired many fundraising events.
Bruce Fancy: Finance
Bruce Fancy has lived in Conception Bay South for three decades, and has been a Chartered Professional Accountant for 40 years. He has been curling for 27 years and has coached various sports teams, including hockey and soccer.
Blair Davis: Marketing and Promotions
Blair Davis is a lifelong resident of Conception Bay South. He is a marketing and sales professional with diverse experience in government relations and communications. He was a member of the 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games Host Committee, with a responsibility for marketing and promotions. He is involved in multiple fundraising committees, groups, and volunteer charitable associations.
Brad Pitcher: Operations
Brad Pitcher is originally from Clarenville, but has made a home in Kelligrews with his wife and daughter. He works in the field of sport and wellness as a Business Manager with Max Arts.Athletics.Wellness., and has worked closely with the 2016 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games Host Committee. He has been a leader in many other large-scale sports event committees.
Dave Tibbo: Town Liaison
Dave Tibbo has lived in Conception Bay South all his life and has worked with the Town for almost 32 years. He has held his current position as Director of Recreation and Leisure Services since 2001. Dave has spent many years coaching as well as playing various sports. He is a long-time volunteer and served on both the 1996 and 2016 Host Committees for the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, both of which were held in Conception Bay South.
