Memorial Day Service at the Monument of Honour

The annual Memorial Day Service, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 50, will occur at 11:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend. Please contact the Legion directly at (709) 834-2331 if you want to lay a wreath. 

Canada Day Celebrations

Celebrate Canada Day in Conception Bay South with live musical entertainment, bouncy castles, a free BBQ and cake, and more great activities. This event will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Sgt. Ned Nugent’s Field, 167 Red Bridge Road.

Reminders:
– Wear red and white to show your Canadian spirit!
– Dogs are not permitted on the event field (service animals are permitted).
– Lawn chairs are permitted.

Fireworks

A beautiful fireworks display will occur at 10:00 p.m. from Cronin’s Head Lookout on Pond Road.

Traffic Advisory: Road closures will be in effect during the fireworks show at the following locations: Pond Road, Station Road, Tilleys Road North, and Sheridan Avenue. View the road closure map for more information. Accessible parking will be available on Station Road. Parking on Peacekeepers Way is strictly prohibited. Public Notice

  • There are no changes to the garbage and recycling collection schedules. Please refer to the Town’s waste collection calendars for any scheduled changes due to holidays.
  • Please be informed that the Town Hall will be closed on Monday, July 3, 2023, in observance of the Canada Day Holiday. The Conception Bay South Recreation Complex (pool) will be closed on Canada Day, Saturday, July 1, 2023. The Conception Bay South Arena and Robert French Arena will remain open due to scheduled events.
