The public is advised that all Town facilities (Town Hall, Recreation Complex, Conception Bay South Arena and Robert French Memorial Stadium) are closed on Friday, July 1, 2022 for the Memorial Day holiday. Garbage and recycling collection schedules are not affected by this holiday.

Memorial Day Service at the Monument of Honour
The annual Memorial Day Service, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 50, will take place at 11:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend. Organizations or private individuals wishing to lay a wreath, may do so after the official ceremony. Please contact the Legion directly at (709) 834-2331 if you would like to lay a wreath. 

Canada Day Celebrations
Celebrate Canada Day in Conception Bay South with musical entertainment by Baccalieu, bouncy castles, a free BBQ, and more great activities. This event will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Remembrance Square, next to the CBS Recreation Complex. Don’t forget to wear your red and white! 

Fireworks
A beautiful fireworks display will take place at 10:00 p.m. from Cronin’s Head Lookout on Pond Road. Road closures will be in effect during the fireworks show at the following locations: Pond Road, Station Road, Tilleys Road North and Sheridan Avenue. View the road closure map for more information. Accessible parking will be available on Station Road. Please do not park on highways.

Garbage and Recycling Collection Notice
Residents are advised that garbage and recycling collection on Friday, July 1, 2022 (Areas 4A & 4B) will be collected on Saturday, July 2.  Please refer to the Town’s waste collection calendars for any scheduled changes due to holidays.
