Earlier this year, the Town released a call for Expressions of Interest for the naming the of the building that will house the Conception Bay South public library. At the public Council meeting on July 12, 2022, Council approved the name as Clarence J. Morgan Building.

 

Mr. Morgan believed in education, experiential learning, and building community. He worked in partnership with businesses, community organizations and all levels of government. He was committed to long-term fiscal responsibility, sustainability, and livability, which are aligned with the Town’s guiding principles.

 

A cherished family man and prominent businessman, Mr. Morgan passed peacefully away on November 28, 2021. Naming the building in his honour is a fitting acknowledgment to his life’s work, which was instrumental in helping to grow Conception Bay South.
