Another series of outstanding athletes, coaches, and sports community builders has been recognized by the Town of Conception Bay South. Last night, during the Town’s Annual Sports Awards and Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre, six individuals and one team took home awards and four individuals were inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to acknowledge the achievements of our extraordinary sports community. You have laid the foundation for sporting success, lead the way for our youth to thrive in recreation, and fulfilled your ambitions.
“To be nominated for one of these prestigious awards is an accomplishment in itself. It demonstrates a hard work ethic, passion, drive, and willingness to go above and beyond. I would like to thank every individual nominated for their important contributions to Conception Bay South,” said Mayor Darrin Bent.
